Locally Assembled JAECOO J7 PHEV Launched in Pakistan

Nishat Motors has officially launched the all-new JAECOO J7 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Pakistan, expanding its lineup of electrified SUVs to appeal to a broader range of buyers.

The company, known for assembling Hyundai vehicles locally, introduced the hybrid model following the August debut of the JAECOO J6 and OMODA E5, both fully electric compact SUVs.

With Pakistan’s EV infrastructure still developing, Nishat Motors adopted a hybrid approach to address consumer concerns about range anxiety and practicality. The J7 PHEV, a locally assembled mid-size SUV, offers a balance between electric efficiency and long-distance capability—ideal for families and intercity travel.

The JAECOO J7 PHEV is available in two trims — Comfort and Premium — both offering identical performance but differing in interior and safety features. It comes equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with an 18.3 kWh battery, delivering 342 horsepower, 525 Nm torque, and a 90 km pure EV range. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.5 seconds with a combined fuel efficiency of around 16.6 km/l.

Interior highlights include a 14.8-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Sony 8-speaker system, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and 7 airbags with adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.

The introductory ex-factory price is Rs. 9,999,000, valid until November 30, 2025, with bookings open at Rs. 2 million. Deliveries begin in mid-December 2025. Nishat offers a 6-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty, making the J7 PHEV one of the most attractive hybrid SUV options in Pakistan’s growing automotive market.
