Juggun Kazim Urges End to Trolling Culture Following Reconciliation with Alizeh Shah

In the wake of her public and private reconciliation with young actor Alizeh Shah, television host Juggun Kazim has taken a firm stand against the culture of online trolling, particularly aimed at celebrities.

Speaking candidly in a 10-minute video titled “Why Can’t We Stop Trolling?” on her YouTube channel, Juggun expressed disappointment over the backlash that persisted even after she issued a public apology to Alizeh.

“Even though Alizeh and I have settled our differences, the sad thing is that the trolling is still ongoing. What is our problem as a nation, as human beings?” she asked. “Why do we find comfort in inflicting pain on others? I just don’t understand it.”

The video comes after a recent incident where Alizeh Shah publicly called out Juggun Kazim for allegedly humiliating her in the past. In response, Juggun offered a heartfelt video apology, acknowledging her role and seeking forgiveness. Despite the apology and the warm response from Alizeh, Juggun revealed that many social media users continued to criticise the gesture.

“I thought this was the best way of dealing with the matter,” she continued. “It is so simple. A person makes a mistake and they apologise for it […] why has this become such a big deal? Why are people still going on social media and discussing whether or not it was the right thing to do and whether or not it would make any difference to Alizeh?”

Juggun also addressed the invasive nature of online discourse, noting that some followers demanded she release screenshots of her private conversations with Alizeh to verify the sincerity of their reconciliation. She refused, emphasizing that such personal exchanges should remain private.

What particularly incensed Juggun, however, was the relentless trolling that Alizeh Shah continues to face, even after the apology.

“Alizeh is upset! Her heart is broken, but in our society, when someone is going through an emotional trauma, instead of giving them love and support, we start trolling them instead. Please, guys! She’s a young person dealing with memories of being mistreated in the industry – of which I, too, played a part. She’s dealing with PTSD!”

Juggun concluded her video with a passionate appeal to stop the toxic behaviour on social media.

“How much free time do people have that they find someone to follow online and then leave negative comments on all their posts and humiliate them on their own social media?” she said. “Is insulting celebrities our only entertainment left? If we don’t protect our own people, who will?”

As online harassment continues to plague public figures, Juggun’s message serves as a sobering reminder of the human cost behind every viral controversy.
