600 KG of Donkey Meat Seized in Major Pakistani City

Islamabad’s Food Authority has launched an operation after uncovering the sale of donkey meat in the capital city.

The discovery was made in the Tarnol area, where a foreign national was allegedly involved in selling the meat. According to Express News, citing sources, the Food Authority raided a farmhouse in Tarnol where several live donkeys were being kept.

During the raid, a significant quantity of butchered donkey meat was also recovered from the premises. Officials on the scene immediately destroyed the meat, while the live donkeys were taken into custody.

A large police force accompanied the Food Authority during the raid to secure the area and assist in the operation. The authorities have not yet disclosed the identity or nationality of the foreigner involved in the case.

Islamabad Food Authority officials have confirmed that further investigations are underway. Legal action is expected against those responsible for the illegal sale.

This incident has raised concerns about food safety and the need for stricter monitoring of meat sales in the capital.
