Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML) has officially commenced the assembly of electric vehicles (EVs) with a 300km range for Eco-Green Motors Limited (EGML), expanding its EV manufacturing line in Pakistan.
In a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday, DFML confirmed it has moved beyond the earlier 200km range EVs and started assembling higher-range variants. “We are pleased to inform you that in addition to 200km range of electric vehicles, Dewan Farooque Motors Limited has now commenced manufacturing / assembling of 300km range of electric vehicles for Eco-Green Motors Limited,” the notice stated.

The news boosted investor confidence, with DFML’s share price rising to Rs. 36.89, up by Re. 0.72 at the time of reporting.
Just a day earlier, DFML revealed it had locally assembled more than 300 units of the ‘Honri-VE’ — a Chinese electric vehicle — since beginning EV production in September 2024 after receiving approval from the Engineering Development Board (EDB).
The production is being carried out under a toll manufacturing agreement with EGML. Under the agreement, Eco-Green provides the design and materials, while DFML handles assembly at its facilities.
DFML was incorporated in Pakistan in December 1998 as a public limited company focused on vehicle assembly and sales.
