According to a notification issued by the Senior Director of Human Resources Management, all KMC offices under its jurisdiction will remain closed on the designated day. However, offices providing essential services, such as emergency, health, and sanitation services, will continue to operate as usual to ensure minimal disruption to the city’s daily functions.
The occasion of the Urs marks the annual celebration of the life and contributions of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (R.A.), whose shrine in Karachi attracts thousands of devotees from across the city and beyond. The event, falling on the 22nd of Zill-Hajj, 1446 A.H., is a significant religious and cultural occasion for the people of Karachi, with numerous events, prayers, and processions planned throughout the day.
KMC has urged citizens to remain mindful of the holiday schedule while also ensuring that essential services are not affected.
