Pakistan to Provide Visas to 20,000 Iranian Hajj Pilgrims

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, announced that the country will assist Iran in facilitating the arrival of 20,000 Iranian Hajj pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia.

During a policy statement in the Senate, Dar revealed that Iran had formally requested Pakistan’s help due to the ongoing closure of the airspace. In response, Pakistan has assured that it will offer a visa-on-arrival service upon the pilgrims’ arrival in Karachi.

Additionally, arrangements for their logistics have been made to ensure that they can complete their journey seamlessly.

“The airspace is currently closed, and Iran has reached out for assistance. We have assured them that upon their arrival in Karachi, the pilgrims will receive visa-on-arrival facilities, and all logistical arrangements have been made,” said Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
In the same statement, Dar also addressed concerns regarding regional security.

He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain on high alert, especially in light of rising tensions in the Middle East.
Referring to Israel’s actions, the Foreign Minister emphasized Pakistan’s firm stance, saying, “If there is any mala-fide action from Israel towards Pakistan, we will respond decisively. Let there be no ambiguity on that.”
