The Pakistan men’s cricket team has finalised its squads for the upcoming South Africa tour, set to take place from December 10, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
The tour will feature three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests, with several key players making their mark across the squads.
Babar Azam headlines all three squads, joined by Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, and Salman Ali Agha. Fast bowler Naseem Shah has been named for Tests and ODIs, while Shaheen Shah Afridi will focus on white-ball formats to manage his workload ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Returning to the Test side is Mohammad Abbas, who last played in August 2021. Abbas earned his spot following an outstanding Quaid-e-Azam Trophy campaign, claiming 31 wickets in five matches. Khurram Shahzad and Mir Hamza also join the pace attack, which features Naseem Shah and excludes Sajid Khan, despite his strong performances against England.
Sufyan Moqim, a left-arm wrist spinner, earned his maiden ODI call-up after an impressive run in T20Is, including a five-wicket haul against Zimbabwe. The T20I squad departs on December 6, while ODI and Test players will leave on December 13.
