Faiz Hameed Being Pressured to Testify Against Me: Imran Khan

Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, has claimed that former ISI chief Faiz Hameed is being pressured to testify against him as a state witness.

During an informal discussion with journalists at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Imran Khan alleged that Faiz Hameed’s arrest was orchestrated to shift his case to a military court. He contended, “All the charges against me are baseless and won’t hold up. This is a deliberate effort to move the case to a military tribunal.”

Imran Khan further accused that Faiz Hameed’s involvement is a ploy to implicate him, asserting, “They’ll force Faiz Hameed to become a state witness against me.”

Khan stated that all other cases against him have been dismissed, and now there is a push to take him to a military court.

He suggested that the authorities are attempting to force Faiz to make statements about a conspiracy, and if Faiz issued the arrest orders or was involved in CCTV footage theft, he should be held accountable.

He added that those involved in conspiracies do not demand a judicial commission.

He criticized the claims that General Faiz was the mastermind behind his arrest and accused General Bajwa of betrayal. Khan alleged that Bajwa dealt with Nawaz Sharif to remove Faiz from his position.

When asked about his concerns if Faiz becomes an approver, Khan stated that he is not worried about Faiz’s testimony and defended Faiz’s role in negotiating with the Taliban.

Despite potential issues, Khan insisted that his party is growing stronger. He expressed dissatisfaction with General Bajwa and other military officials, stating that he supported Bajwa
