UAE commits $10 Billion investment in Pakistan during bilateral talks

According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, including cooperation in political, economic, social, cultural, and defence sectors.

The prime minister emphasized the importance of strengthening existing cooperation and enhancing the strategic partnership, particularly in information technology, renewable energy, and tourism. He highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure socio-economic stability and boost investor confidence.

The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the effective implementation of investment cooperation agreements in areas such as energy, port operations, wastewater treatment, food security, logistics, minerals, and banking & financial services.

Additionally, the prime minister expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for hosting 1.8 million members of the Pakistani diaspora and highlighted Pakistan’s significant human resource potential that could be utilized in various sectors.

Both leaders also exchanged views on other mutual interests, including regional and global developments. The prime minister extended an invitation to the UAE President for an official visit to Pakistan, which was accepted by the president.

Prime Minister Sharif was accompanied by Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
