Marriyum Aurangzeb, the minister of information, announced on Tuesday that Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, had tested positive for the coronavirus for the third time.
The minister said in a tweet that the Premier had been feeling ill for the previous two days and had followed the doctor’s advise by taking a Covid-19 test today.
She pleaded with the people to pray for Shehbaz Sharif’s quick recovery, as well as with PML-N members.
The prime minister has tested positive for the virus three times now. He has already experienced Covid-19 in January of this year and in June of 2020.
After a quick but busy trip to London, Shehbaz Sharif returned to Pakistan on Monday. He allegedly hadn’t been feeling well, though. Additionally, it was said that the Prime Minister felt ill while he was in London and postponed his flight to Pakistan by a day.
