Lahore, known as the city of gardens and cultural hub of Pakistan, is set to introduce its first-ever floating restaurant on the Lahore Canal.

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) of Lahore has announced plans to launch this unique dining experience near Harbanspura, with an estimated budget of Rs350 million.

The floating restaurant is part of a broader initiative to enhance the canal area with new recreational amenities. These include seating areas, cafes, and designated children’s play zones, all aimed at attracting more visitors to the area.

PHA has already shortlisted three companies—Babar & Co, HRD Construction, and Riyaz Enterprises—to undertake the project. Along with the floating restaurant, the authority also plans to revamp an existing picnic spot at the location, which has not been widely used in the past.

PHA’s engineering team has designed a plan to rejuvenate the area, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for both locals and tourists. This project is part of the ongoing efforts to improve recreational spaces across the city and provide a unique experience for Lahore’s residents.

The floating restaurant promises a new way to dine, offering scenic views and an open-air setting that connects diners to nature.
