Zardari praises security forces

President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday commended the security forces following the elimination of nine terrorists associated with the banned “Khawarij” group during intelligence-based operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out on May 24 and 25 in three separate encounters. The terrorists were described as “Indian-sponsored” in the official statement.

In a statement issued by the Presidency, President Zardari applauded the bravery and professionalism of the armed forces, highlighting that the precise, intelligence-led operations reflect Pakistan’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism and protect its national sovereignty.

“These successful operations against Indian-sponsored terrorist elements are highly commendable,” President Zardari stated. “Our security forces have once again exhibited unmatched bravery and dedication in neutralising threats to national security.”

He emphasized that efforts against terrorism will continue until all extremist networks are completely dismantled. “The fight against terrorism is far from over. The total dismantling of Khawarij and other extremist groups remains a national objective, and we are fully committed to achieving it.”

President Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering stance against terrorism and assured citizens that the nation’s defence would not be compromised. “Our determination to eliminate terrorism and protect our homeland remains unwavering.”
