The Establishment Division issued a formal memorandum directing all ministries and divisions to enforce the revised policy immediately.

According to the notification, this decision aligns with the Supreme Court’s ruling from October 18, 2024, and is effective from the date of the court’s verdict.

While the job quota has been withdrawn, the government assured that other financial benefits and support under the PM Assistance Package will continue for the families of deceased civil servants.

These include pensions, financial aid, and other allowances meant to provide relief to affected families.

The Establishment Division also clarified that this policy change does not apply to the families of law enforcement personnel who lose their lives in terrorism-related incidents.

Furthermore, any job appointments granted under the previous policy before the Supreme Court’s decision will remain valid and unaffected by the new directive.

This move marks a significant shift in government employment policies, impacting thousands of families who previously relied on this provision for financial stability.
