For added safety, the floors are equipped with an anti-slip surface. The buses can accommodate 30 seated passengers, with a total capacity of 80.
To keep the fleet running efficiently, nine charging stations have been established at the Green Town Hamdard Chowk depot. A single charge allows each bus to cover 250 kilometers, completing up to four full trips before needing to recharge.
Security has also been prioritized, with CCTV cameras installed to enhance passenger safety. The initial phase will see 27 electric buses operating along a 21-kilometer route from the railway station to Green Town, covering key areas such as Queens Road, Mozang, Ferozepur Road, and PU Campus Bridge.
A full-scale rollout is planned for mid-February, with 42 modern bus stops under construction. Buses will arrive every nine minutes, and passengers can pay fares through digital wallets, cards, or universal transport cards. A dedicated mobile app will also be introduced for real-time tracking.
