The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the closure of its Pak-ID website, transitioning all services to a new and improved mobile app.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that this move aims to prevent fraudulent activities facilitated by fake websites that misuse citizens’ personal information. The website will cease operations starting January 17.
Minister Naqvi explained that the website posed challenges, especially for overseas Pakistanis, who faced issues uploading fingerprints and required documents. The mobile app has been significantly upgraded to address these concerns.

It now offers all services, including identity cards, NICOP, POC, B-Form, and FRC, enabling users to complete documentation conveniently from their homes.
To enhance accessibility, NADRA plans to establish three new regional centres in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan by March 31. These centres aim to improve communication between NADRA officials and citizens, streamline services in remote areas, and address complaints efficiently.
Additionally, NADRA is working on opening offices in the remaining 19 tehsils across the country, with operations expected to begin by March 31. This expansion will further enhance service delivery and resolve citizens’ issues promptly.
