The Punjab government, under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has launched two groundbreaking initiatives—CM Punjab Asan Karobar Finance and Asan Karobar Card—to boost business activity in the province.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Maryam Nawaz stated that the Asan Karobar Finance Scheme will provide interest-free loans ranging from Rs. 1 million to Rs. 30 million, with repayments structured in easy instalments.

The Asan Karobar Card will offer loans between Rs. 500,000 and Rs. 1 million. Citizens can apply online, and further information is available via helpline 1786.

The Chief Minister described these schemes as revolutionary measures to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which are the backbone of the economy.

She noted that starting a business was previously challenging, but the government has simplified the process with these initiatives.

The schemes also include discounted land for small businesses and a first-of-its-kind interest-free loan program offering up to Rs. 30 million without requiring NOCs, licences, or permits.

Industries set up in export processing zones will receive additional benefits, including free solar systems worth up to Rs. 500,000.

Maryam Nawaz stated that these initiatives will foster entrepreneurship, accelerate economic growth, and help build a prosperous Punjab. Young business owners, she said, now have the tools to contribute significantly to the province’s development.
