Internet services are currently down nationwide in Pakistan, with the cause of the disruption still unclear. Initial reports suggest that the issue may be related to international traffic rather than local networks.

Social media platforms have been especially affected, with users struggling to download audio messages. Internet service providers are pointing to issues with social media platforms, while mobile companies deny any involvement in the disruption.

Officials have suggested that ongoing work on a firewall might be contributing to the internet service disruptions. It is anticipated that these issues could continue until August 30th.
