The Pakistan government is set to overhaul passport regulations for issuing and renewing passports, including adjustments to the Pakistan passport policies.
The Interior Ministry has proposed these changes to the federal cabinet, which, if approved, will allow citizens to apply for Pakistan passports from any city across the country.
Furthermore, the new rules will permit passport fees for all categories to be paid at any National Bank branch.
According to sources within Interior Ministry, that the changes aim to simplify the Pakistan passport application process, making it as straightforward as obtaining a national identity card.

In related news, six new passport offices have recently opened at the newly established regional passport office in Islamabad.
Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the Director General of Passports, recommended that residents of Islamabad visit the new facility located at the I&T Center in Sector G10-4 for their Pakistan passport needs. The modern office features advanced facilities, including specialized counters for women and senior citizens.
Qazi emphasized that the new digital system will streamline processing and reduce wait times. He also noted that additional staff will be available to promptly resolve any issues.
