On Friday, Islamabad denied a report claiming that Pakistan had agreed to supply Iran with medium-range ballistic missiles.

During the weekly press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch dismissed the Jerusalem Post’s allegations, which suggested that Pakistan was planning to provide Shaheen-III missiles to Iran in the event of an escalation between Iran and Israel.

The spokesperson criticized the report as baseless and advised that the source and intentions behind such claims should be scrutinized.

The Foreign Office emphasized the importance of avoiding the spread of misinformation during this critical period in the Middle East. They urged all parties, including the media, to refrain from disseminating fake news.

In response to inquiries about Indian reports alleging Pakistan’s involvement in incidents in Bangladesh, the Foreign Office spokesperson highlighted that these reports reflect India’s troubling fixation on Pakistan.

The spokesperson stated that Indian political narratives and media often blame Pakistan for their own domestic and foreign policy failures. She also emphasized that Pakistan and Bangladesh maintain positive relations, which have been strengthening over recent years.
