The Karachi Traffic Police has introduced a new mobile application, “Tracks Citizen,” to help motorists track their vehicles, e-challans, and traffic violations more conveniently after the launch of the city’s digital traffic fine system.
According to ARY News, the app provides complete access to vehicle and violation records for all vehicles registered under a user’s CNIC. Once a user logs in, all linked vehicles automatically appear on the dashboard.

Available for both Android and iPhone users, the “Tracks Citizen” app also sends real-time notifications about traffic violations. Each update arrives in two stages — a warning message followed by an official e-ticket (e-challan).
The app’s launch comes soon after Karachi’s new e-challan system went live, issuing over Rs12.5 million in fines within its first six hours. During that time, authorities generated 2,662 e-challans for various traffic offenses.
These included 419 cases of overspeeding, 1,535 for not wearing seatbelts, 166 for red-signal violations, 507 for riding without helmets, and 32 for using mobile phones while driving. Additional violations involved tinted windows, lane breaches, stop-line infractions, wrong-way driving, and illegal parking.
Officials said the app aims to promote transparency, efficiency, and public awareness about traffic safety and legal compliance in Karachi.
