The Swiss Government has opened applications for its Excellence Scholarships 2026–2027, inviting Pakistani students and researchers to pursue advanced studies and research opportunities in Switzerland.
The program offers fully funded opportunities for PhD, research, and postdoctoral fellowships at Swiss universities, federal institutes of technology, and leading research institutions. The scholarships are designed to promote international exchange and academic cooperation between Switzerland and more than 180 countries, including Pakistan.

According to the announcement, applications must be submitted by September 30, 2025, through the official portal at go.eskas.ch/LoginServlet.
Successful candidates will receive financial support that may include tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, health insurance, housing allowance, and airfare, depending on the award category.
Education experts have welcomed the announcement, stressing that global scholarships such as this one provide Pakistan’s youth with opportunities to strengthen academic credentials, gain exposure to international research networks, and contribute to innovation at home.
The Swiss Government emphasized that the Excellence Scholarships are intended for highly qualified graduates and researchers who are committed to advancing academia and fostering cross-cultural knowledge exchange.
