Pakistan Announces Squad for T20 Tri-Series and Asia Cup

The Men’s National Selection Committee has unveiled Pakistan’s 17-member squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series and the ACC Asia Cup 2025, both scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates between August 29 and September 28.

The tri-series will feature Afghanistan, Pakistan, and hosts UAE, with all matches set to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7. Following the series, the eight-team Asia Cup T20I tournament will run in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from September 9 to 28. Pakistan has been placed in Group A alongside India, Oman, and UAE.

Squad

Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Waseem Jnr, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sufyan Moqim.

Tri-series Schedule

Pakistan will open against Afghanistan on August 29, followed by a clash with UAE on August 30. The final is scheduled for September 7 under lights in Sharjah.

Asia Cup Fixtures

Pakistan will begin their campaign against Oman on September 12 in Dubai, followed by the much-anticipated contest against India on September 14. Their final group match against UAE will be played on September 17. Super Four matches are slated for September 20–26, while the grand final will take place on September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
