NAB Shares Good News for Bahria Town Residents

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has assured residents of Bahria Town that their homes and properties are completely secure, despite ongoing legal proceedings against the housing society.

In a statement issued on Monday, NAB rejected recent social media posts claiming that residents could lose their properties, calling such claims “a deep conspiracy” aimed at acquiring assets at unfairly low prices.

The bureau stressed that its actions are solely directed toward properties owned by Bahria Town itself, not those purchased by individual owners. NAB urged residents to continue their daily lives without fear or uncertainty, pledging to safeguard their rights and interests.

Officials made it clear that the bureau remains committed to pursuing the legal process without yielding to any pressure from outside influences.

The bureau further stated that the proceedings will continue until “the looted money is returned” under the court-approved plea bargain mechanism.

The case is connected to the £190 million reference involving PTI founder Imran Khan and others. As part of this process, NAB has been conducting auctions of Bahria Town’s assets to recover pending dues in line with the settlement agreement.

The bureau assured that these auctions will not affect the legal ownership or possession rights of residents.
