The Punjab government has released updated school timings as educational institutions prepare to reopen after the summer break on August 15.
All public and private schools across the province will resume classes following the summer holidays, and new schedules have been issued for both single and double-shift schools in light of the hot weather conditions.

Timings for Single-Shift Schools
Government schools operating in a single shift will start at 7:30 AM and end at 1:00 PM. On Fridays, classes will conclude earlier at 11:30 AM.
Timings for Double-Shift Schools
- Morning Shift (Monday to Thursday): 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Morning Shift (Friday): 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Evening Shift (Monday to Thursday): 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Evening Shift (Friday): 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
These revised hours aim to protect students from excessive heat and ensure that academic activities continue smoothly.
While the official reopening date remains August 15, many parents are hoping for an extension due to ongoing hot weather. However, the government has not announced any change to the schedule so far.
