Honda Increases Car Prices in Pakistan After NEV Levy

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited has increased the prices of all its locally assembled vehicles following the implementation of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Levy under the Finance Act 2025-26. The revised prices came into effect on July 1 and apply to all new bookings as well as pending orders placed before June 30.

The NEV Levy, introduced by the federal government, is aimed at promoting electric and hybrid vehicle adoption by making traditional fuel-powered cars more costly.

As a result, Honda has revised the prices of its entire CKD lineup, although the updated prices for the HR-V models are yet to be announced.

Here is a breakdown of the new prices:

  • Honda Civic Oriel: Rs. 8,834,000 (up Rs. 175,000)
  • Honda BR-V 1.5 CVT S: Rs. 6,429,000 (up Rs. 130,000)
  • Honda City Aspire CVT: Rs. 5,969,000 (up Rs. 120,000)
  • Honda City 1.2 CVT: Rs. 4,737,000 (up Rs. 48,000)
  • Honda City 1.2 MT: Rs. 4,696,000 (up Rs. 47,000)

Industry analysts expect other automakers to follow suit with similar price hikes in the coming weeks as the new NEV policy takes hold.
