Atlas Honda Limited has officially announced plans to introduce its first electric scooter in Pakistan, aligning with the government’s National Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy.
In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday, the company revealed that the scooter is being specifically developed for local consumers. Atlas Honda is currently working with regulatory authorities to secure all necessary approvals and permissions before launching the product.

The company emphasized that the electric scooter will only be released after completing strict quality assurance checks and road testing. The launch is scheduled within the current financial year.
This marks a significant move for Atlas Honda, a dominant player in Pakistan’s two-wheeler market. Experts say its entry into the EV segment could accelerate the shift toward electric mobility in the country.
With over 26 million motorcycles on Pakistani roads, replacing fuel-powered bikes with electric alternatives is expected to help curb rising carbon emissions.
In 2023, the company showcased its electric model ‘BENLY e’ during a soft launch at its Sheikhupura facility. This upcoming launch will be the company’s first major step into the domestic electric vehicle market.
Atlas Honda is a subsidiary of Shirazi Investments (Private) Limited, which holds a majority stake in the company.
