The declaration was made at the 270th corps commanders’ conference chaired by army chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the GHQ in Rawalpindi, according to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the ISPR.
The forum extended its felicitations to the army chief on his conferment as field marshal, acknowledging his strategic foresight, resolute leadership, and enduring contributions to national defence.
The ISPR stated that the forum reaffirmed “Pakistan’s unyielding resolve” to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any act of aggression or misadventure.
The corps commanders, while reiterating Pakistan’s strategic stance, declared: “No one can coerce Pakistan through the use or threat of force. The nation will take all measures necessary to safeguard its vital interests.”
The forum deliberated extensively on the threat posed by India-backed terrorist proxies operating in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Following its military failure in the wake of the Pahalgam incident, India, described as a self-proclaimed victim of terrorism but actually a perpetrator and the epicentre of regional instability, has intensified its covert operations using non-state actors to pursue a destabilisation agenda, the forum observed.
The military leadership resolved that Pakistan will never allow externally sponsored terrorism to compromise its peace and security. It pledged that the armed forces, working in close coordination with intelligence and law enforcement agencies, will relentlessly pursue all proxies and their facilitators.
“These hostile elements, trained and financed to incite chaos and fear, will be dismantled and decimated with full force of national will and institutional strength, InshaAllah,” they said.
The forum reviewed the internal and external security environment in detail, particularly in the context of the successful conclusion of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, described as a critical chapter of Marka-e-Haq, according to the ISPR.
Fateha was offered for the martyrs of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, which the forum condemned as a barbaric act by India-sponsored proxies. The attack resulted in the deaths of four innocent children and two adults. “The forum unequivocally condemned this barbaric act, noting its deliberate targeting of non-combatants, particularly children, as a reprehensible violation of all norms of humanity and international conduct,” the ISPR stated.
The commanders also paid tribute to all those martyred during Marka-e-Haq, praising their sacrifice in the face of India’s unprovoked aggression. “It reaffirmed that the sacred blood of the Shuhada (martyrs) shall not go in vain and safety and security of the people of Pakistan will continue to be the foremost priority of the armed forces.”
Participants of the forum commended the armed forces for their professionalism, coordination, courage, and resilience, noting the unwavering support of the Pakistani people, which enabled the nation to repel aggression with clarity and precision.
“The forum acknowledged Pakistan’s media and information warriors who stood in step with the state against Indian propaganda onslaught, fake news and war hysteria, while accurately portraying facts and figures thereby fostering public trust and countering misinformation,” the ISPR statement added.
It also acknowledged the energy and commitment of the Pakistani youth, highlighting their role in projecting the national narrative and strengthening public morale. “The forum saluted the political leadership for their foresight and steering the nation during the Marka-e-Haq with utmost clarity, conviction and resolve,” according to the ISPR statement.
The forum noted that Pakistan’s swift and decisive military response, following the emergence of a grave threat, would be remembered as a moment of national resolve. It emphasised that Pakistan maintained strategic restraint and operational clarity while preserving deterrence and moral high ground.
A strategic overview of the regional environment was also conducted, with special attention to developments along the Line of Control, Working Boundary, and the eastern border, in light of the recent Pakistan-India confrontation.
The forum expressed serious concern over continued human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It described these abuses as fueling unrest and cycles of violence. The commanders stressed the urgent need for international intervention to prevent further deterioration in the region and reiterated their support for the Kashmiri people. “The military commanders reiterated full diplomatic, political, moral and humanitarian support for Kashmiri brothers and sisters and their just resistance for right of self-determination.”
The army chief commended the operational readiness, high morale, and professionalism of the armed forces, acknowledging the consistent support of the Pakistani public. “He emphasised the blessings of Almighty Allah in guiding national efforts and directed all commanders to maintain a heightened state of vigilance and preparedness to address evolving threats across the spectrum.”
He reaffirmed the central role of the Pakistan Army in ensuring internal stability and securing national borders. “The people of Pakistan are our greatest strength. We remain committed to their trust and expectations in our shared struggle against any foreign aggression, terrorism and extremism,” he added.
The conference concluded with the field marshal expressing full confidence in the operational capability, preparedness, and unwavering morale of all formations and institutions tasked with defending the country.
