Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the 8070 Ramadan Relief Package 2025, a Rs. 20 billion initiative aimed at assisting low-income families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Under the relief plan, 4 million families will receive Rs. 10,000 in financial aid, along with subsidies on essential food items. The initiative replaces the previous system of long queues at Utility Stores by introducing a streamlined digital distribution method.

Relief Package Breakdown
The relief package consists of two key components:
- Cash Assistance: Each eligible family will receive Rs. 10,000 to help cover household expenses.
- Ration Subsidy: Discounts will be provided on flour, sugar, pulses, ghee, and rice to ease the financial burden on families.
Who Can Apply?
- To qualify for the relief package, applicants must:
- Be registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or Ehsaas Programme.
- Not be receiving aid from any other government program.
- Have a valid CNIC.
How to Register?
Eligible individuals can register through the official PSER portal or by sending their CNIC number via SMS to 8070 for verification and further instructions.
Funds Distribution
To ensure smooth disbursement, financial aid will be provided through:
- Bank transfers (HBL, UBL, Bank Alfalah).
- Mobile wallets (Easypaisa, JazzCash).
- Ehsaas Centers for those without bank accounts.
- Union Council offices for final verification and collection.
Authorities have urged applicants to register early to avoid delays in receiving assistance. The government has emphasized that the package is designed to provide essential support and ease financial hardships during Ramadan.
