The requisition highlights 15 associate professor roles in anesthesiology and several specialized positions, including professors of critical care, infectious diseases, chemical pathology, and pediatric urology. Also sought are senior registrars in emerging fields like pediatric cardiac anesthesia and transplant care.

Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique described the move as pivotal, building on the recent recruitment of 3,000 nurses through the PPSC. He emphasized that hiring additional medical professionals will alleviate staffing shortages and enhance patient care.

Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood stated that the initiative will strengthen healthcare delivery in Punjab, improving outcomes for patients and reducing pressure on existing medical staff.

The recruitment process is expected to conclude promptly, bringing much-needed relief to the province’s healthcare system.
