Suzuki officially discontinues Bolan in Pakistan

Suzuki has officially discontinued its long-standing and iconic vehicle, the Suzuki Bolan, in Pakistan. Popularly known as the “Carry Dabba,” the Bolan has been a familiar sight on the country’s roads for decades.

However, the vehicle’s outdated design and lack of modern features have led to its discontinuation, paving the way for a newer model — the Suzuki Every.

This announcement comes after years of speculation about the Bolan’s future, with many expecting the company to phase out the vehicle due to its lack of essential safety features. The final batch of Bolan units has now been produced, officially marking the end of the road for this iconic vehicle.

As per industry sources, Suzuki is preparing to launch the Suzuki Every in the second week of October 2024. The new model will feature modern specifications, updated safety measures, and a more stylish design, addressing the long-standing demands of Pakistani consumers.

In terms of pricing, the new Suzuki Every is expected to cost Rs. 2.6 million, significantly higher than the current price of the Bolan, which stands at Rs. 1,940,000. This marks a substantial difference of Rs. 960,000, indicating a move towards a more premium product in the same category.

The Bolan’s discontinuation is likely to evoke mixed reactions, as it has been a go-to vehicle for families, businesses, and transport services for decades. However, with the introduction of the Suzuki Every, consumers can look forward to better safety, comfort, and performance.

The higher price point is expected to be justified by the new features and improved driving experience offered by the Every.
