The police officials stated that the suspect have gone into hiding after the registration of the case. Furthermore, more than 40 students of the girl’s hostel recorded their statements with the investigation team. They confirmed the presence of hidden cameras in the washroom.
It should be noted that the installation of hidden cameras inside women’s washrooms is nothing new. Previously, following a complaint by a teacher of a private school in Karachi, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department discovered a camera inside the toilets meant for teachers and female students.
The department had also suspended the registration of the school following the incident.
