Here are All the Cool Updates in iOS 17.1

The latest iPhone software iOS 17.1 update brings a plethora of new features that enhance the iPad experience, along with bug fixes and security improvements.

Notably, it also introduces a highly beneficial financial feature tailored for users in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, it addresses the concerns raised by French regulators regarding the radiation levels in one of its models, the iPhone 12.

AirDrop

As you may be aware, AirDrop enables the transfer of files between Apple devices within close proximity, bypassing the necessity of connecting to a Wi-Fi network. However, the initial release of iOS 17 did not include the expected AirDrop update. This resulted in an expansion of the transfer distance, allowing for a seamless transition. With this update, if you move beyond the typical AirDrop range, it seamlessly switches to complete the transfer over the internet via Wi-Fi, with the added option of using cellular data

Photo Shuffle

The upcoming iOS update is set to offer enhanced customization features for the Photo Shuffle Lock screen. Users will gain the ability to handpick photos from a particular album in their personal library, providing greater freedom compared to the previous restriction of using Apple’s predefined categories.

Apple Music

You can now easily designate a song, album, playlist, or artist as a favorite with a single tap, which will automatically include it in your library and enhance the quality of your recommendations.

Customize standby mode

Phone users will soon have the opportunity to experience the new StandBy Mode enhancements introduced during the iOS 17 launch. According to 9to5Mac, iPhone users will gain the ability to transform their devices into intelligent displays when charging in landscape mode. This functionality is akin to the screen timeout setting found on Android devices. Users will have a selection of three options: “Automatically,” “After 20 seconds,” and “Never” to decide when the screen turns off.

Additionally, the Night mode feature, which reduces screen brightness and introduces a red hue for nighttime use, will incorporate a “Motion to Wake” toggle. It’s important to note that this feature will exclusively be available on iPhones equipped with always-on displays, including the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
