The United States on Monday offered Pakistan unrestricted support in its fight against the TTP and other similar organizations, indicating that it is closely monitoring reports that militants have taken control of a counterterrorism centre in Bannu. The United States stated that both countries shared the goal of eliminating terrorism.
At the same time, it made the offer to help India and Pakistan resolve their disputes and emphasised to them that they were important global allies and that America wanted to keep their “valued alliances” going.
Hours after visiting Washington for consultations with US officials, foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari made similar comments during a news briefing, according to US State Department spokesperson Ned Price.
