The first winter rains hit several regions of the nation, including Lahore, Islamabad, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, intensifying the cold while bringing on the first snowfall in Swat, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
In the previous twelve hours, rain-thunderstorms (with snow on the hills) are predicted for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, higher Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, according to PMD.
The Kukikhel and Maidan regions of the Tirah area of the Khyber district are still experiencing light snowfall, while the temperatures in the Malam Jabba and Kalam parts of Swat have dropped even more as a result of last night’s snowfall.
Urban areas of Upper Dir experienced light rain for several hours.
On the other hand, snow continues to fall in the district’s higher elevations, such as Oshirai Dara, Kumrat, Lowari Tunnel, Dog Dara Top, and Jaaz Banda.
Due to sporadic snowfall, the temperature fell below zero in Kaghan, Naran, and Babusar peak.
