He said the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened for commercial movement, which is likely to stabilize fuel supply, while improved LNG availability is expected to enhance electricity supply.

The minister said these developments could lead to a reduction in petrol and diesel prices in the near future.

The statement comes after recent diplomatic engagements involving Pakistan following developments related to Iran and the United States, with senior officials visiting regional countries as part of ongoing efforts.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened for limited commercial activity, while a ceasefire in Lebanon has also been reported.
