Among the more affordable options, the Honri VE is positioned between Rs. 36 to Rs. 44 lacs. It offers a driving range of 200 to 300 kilometers with battery options ranging from 18.5 kWh to 29.9 kWh, making it a viable choice for urban users looking for a balance between price and range.

The GUGO GIGI, priced at around Rs. 37.5 lacs, provides a range of approximately 220 kilometers with a 16.8 kWh battery. It is among the simpler and more accessible EV options aimed at short-distance city commuting.
Another option in the mid-range bracket is the JMEV EV3, priced between Rs. 49 to Rs. 50 lacs. It offers a range of around 271 kilometers with a 30.24 kWh battery, positioning it as a more capable option for users seeking slightly longer travel distances.
The Inverex XIO offers more flexibility in both price and range, falling between Rs. 35 to Rs. 52 lacs. With a range varying from 140 to 320 kilometers and battery capacities between 14.72 kWh and 31.28 kWh, it caters to a wider segment of buyers with different usage needs.
At the higher end of the segment, the MG Binguo EV is priced around Rs. 60 lacs and offers a range of approximately 273 kilometers with a 31.9 kWh battery. It is positioned as a more premium hatchback with better build and features.
Similarly, the Dongfeng Box (Smart) is priced at around Rs. 55 lacs and offers a range of about 230 kilometers with a 32.56 kWh battery, targeting buyers who want a mix of style and practicality in an electric vehicle.
With rising petrol and diesel costs, these electric hatchbacks are becoming increasingly relevant, particularly for city users looking to reduce running expenses. While upfront costs remain high, the absence of fuel expenses and lower maintenance requirements are shifting buyer interest toward electric mobility in this price bracket.
