Long March: PTI to March towards capital on May 25

PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Sunday that the much-anticipated long march against the “imported administration” to the federal capital will begin on May 25.

Imran told while addressing press conference following the PTI’s core committee meeting in Peshawar that the long march to Islamabad’s key demands were the quick dissolution of the assemblies and the announcement of a date for the next general election. He went on to say that the army had kept its word and stayed “neutral.”

The PTI chairman, who was flanked by nearly every senior party leader, said the march was open to the entire country. “People from all walks of life, including labourers, ex-servicemen, and others, should join the long march for the country’s ‘true independence.'”

People must attend the march, he added, because this is jihad, not politics. “I’ve decided and told everyone on my team that we must be willing to give our lives.”

The PTI chairman stated that key decisions were made during the core committee meeting. “The most important [decision] was when to start the long march, and we made that decision.” I’ll meet you at 3 p.m. on May 25 on the Srinagar Highway.”
